I made this tribute to the unreleased but widely popular WWII era propaganda poster from Great Britain. Check out prints and other good stuff in my new Cafe Press store.

UPDATE: Steve Mehallo had some kind words to say about my poster. Thanks for the promo Steve!

Mare Island

I went to Mare Island last week and did some urban exploring with Jesse to escape the 106° Sacramento heat. We also ended up going around the north peninsula and looked around at some of the old batteries that are long-since shut down and locked up tight.

On Mare Island we were able to actually get inside an old lab and what we believe to have been an explosives testing & development facility, including an old lab. There were some pressurized testing rooms inside a warehouse as well as some old equipment in the building and it was fascinating to have a look around.

Of course, I did a bit of photography while we were exploring the building and posted the pictures on my Flickr, so be sure to check them out.
